Make a quick and tasty pasta salad using store-bought rotisserie chicken. This delicious Rotisserie Chicken Pasta salad comes together in no time and has tangy greek yogurt dressing.
Store-bought rotisserie chicken just may be the best thing going at your grocery store. I always pick up one when I’m at Costco and love creating new recipes to make with it. Very rarely do I actually eat the chicken as is!
This recipe is a fun take on Tuna Pasta Salad I used to make but substituting chicken for the tuna. I love to make it for parties and barbecues because it seems that people are somewhat shy of tuna but all for rotisserie chicken.

Make-Ahead Chicken Pasta Salad
What I love about this dish is that you can completely make it ahead and refrigerate for up to two days in advance. When you are hosting a party, it’s key to have as many of your menu components done ahead of time.
In this salad, I use frozen peas, celery, and red onion. But you can feel free to add in whatever veggies you like in your pasta salad. This would be delicious with corn, broccoli florets, or even olives.
Would you like to save this?
Firstly, to make the pasta salad, boil the noodles. Here I used farfalle, but you could substitute any short pasta you like. Macaroni, mini penne, shells, or rotini would all work great. Make sure you just cook until al dente.
Then, just toss the pasta in your mixing bowl and add on the veggies and chicken. You don’t even have to thaw the peas first.
Next, mix together the dressing in a separate bowl. Lastly, toss with the pasta salad and refrigerate until ready to eat. Dress up your pasta salad and serve in a gorgeous white porcelain serving bowl.
This is hands down the simplest and tastiest pasta salad out there. It’s perfect to serve at brunch or a barbecue. Even whip up a batch and have it on hand for a quick and easy lunch during the week. Enjoy!

Thank you Angela for this easy recipe and it sounds delicious! I haven’t tried it yet though. We are having truck coming and pouring soon (concreting our driveway ourselves) and I always have food for the helpers, I will also make a jello salad and make some rice Kristie’s treats too plus your salad. The guys appreciate sitting down in the shade afterwards and filling up their tummies ! 😂 I will let you know later!
So, you don’t cook the frozen peas???
Nope, just toss them into the salad!
I assume that the freshly made pasta warms the peas, and the peas also cool down the pasta.
yes and yes! 🙂
Super easy and looks delicious!
