Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Carefully twist apart the Oreos and place cream side up on the baking sheet.
Press 8 of the halved pretzel rods into the cream of the Oreos making the legs of the spider.
In a small microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips. Dollop about a teaspoon of melted chocolate on the cream of the Oreo and sandwich the other cookie half on top.
Spread about teaspoon of melted chocolate on the top of the Oreo and add on chocolate sprinkles. Finish by pressing on two candy eyes.
Let the chocolate harden completely before moving or eating the Oreo Cookie Spiders. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep fresh.
Notes
Use the larger Double Stuf Oreos if you can find them so that you have more cream to press the pretzel spider legs into.
Melted chocolate acts as a glue to hold all of the decorations in place. You can also use different colored candy melts or chocolate frosting.
Have a variety of sprinkles and candies, and let kids decorate the spiders how they like.
