Croissant Baked French Toast

Cinnamon Apple Topping

Croissant Baked French Toast with Cinnamon Apples is the tastiest and easiest recipe to serve at your next brunch, special breakfast, or for Christmas Morning.

Start by peeling and dicing apples. Place in a large skillet with butter and cook until softened.

Add in brown sugar and cinnamon and continue cooking until soft and fragrant; set aside.

Dice stale croissants into bite-sized pieces. Place in a 9 x 13 baking or casserole dish.

Make a custard for the french toast by whisking together eggs, half & half, and cinnamon.

Pour the custard over the croissant cubes. Press down to make sure the croissants are coated.

Spoon the cinnamon apple mixture over the top of the croissants. Cover and refrigerate overnight or for at least four hours.

Uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until the french toast is hot and bubbly. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.

Serve with warm maple syrup. This is an excellent recipe for the holidays because it can be prepped in advance!

Make this Croissant Baked French Toast next time you have day old croissants. You're going to love it. Enjoy!
