Strawberry Blueberry Spinach Salad is the perfect salad combo with delicious berries, crunchy walnuts, and a sweet poppy and sesame seed dressing.

Strawberry Blueberry Spinach Salad

If you are looking to upgrade your salad, then this recipe is for you! The flavors and textures of the sweet berries and crunchy walnuts make this the perfect salad for dinner, pot lucks, or add chicken strips for a healthy and quick lunch salad.

What really makes this Strawberry Blueberry Spinach Salad so delicious is the sweet and tangy dressing. This tasty dressing uses pantry staples like poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and vinegar to give a flavor combo that just can’t be beat!

The ingredients for the salad are simple and open to substitutions. Moreover, you can use whatever greens, berries, or nuts you have on hand.

I personally love the flavor combo of strawberries and blueberries. The juicy strawberries and crunchy pop from the blueberries pair perfectly with each other.

Firstly, just combine all of the salad ingredients in a large bowl. Here I used a large white ceramic salad bowl but this is equally gorgeous in a traditional wooden salad bowl.

Next, whisk together the dressing for the salad. I find it’s easiest to combine all of the ingredients in a mason jar (here I used an old mustard jar) and shake them to combine.

The dressing for this salad consists of sesame seeds, poppy seeds, vinegar, sugar, oil, Worcestershire, minced onions, and salt. The crunch and sweetness is a flavor combo that just can’t be beat!

Note that this recipe makes more than enough dressing for the Strawberry Blueberry Spinach Salad. Left over dressing is perfect for dressing up mixed greens, or adding to a sandwich wrap.

Lastly, pour only half of the dressing on the Strawberry Blueberry Spinach salad. Toss to combine and serve additional dressing on the side. If you are making this salad ahead or bringing to an event, wait to toss and add the dressing right before serving. Enjoy!
