Non-Stick Fluffy Slime with shaving cream and glue

If your kids are like mine, they love making and playing with slime. But I couldn’t stand it! It was so messy and was constantly getting on my kids clothes and hair.

It seemed the every recipe I tried was a fail. So I set out to make the perfect non-stick fluffy slime recipe. After multiple tries, I have finally perfected my recipe. Don’t waste your time with other recipes, this is truly the best!

ingredients including glue, baking soda, dye, shaving cream, and contact solution.

How to make non-stick fluffy slime

In a large bowl, mix the glue (it has to be Elmers, don’t waste your time on generic brands), water, and food coloring. Add as much food coloring as needed until desired color is reached. Can also add in glitter (optional).

bowl of green colored batter with glitter and dye drops.

Stir in the baking soda and Barbasol shaving cream. (Again, make sure it’s Barbasol and not a generic or gel shaving cream). Mix together and add in the contact solution (use a brand containing sodium borate and boric acid), stopping after three tablespoons.

Knead the slime. If it is sticky, add up to another tablespoon of contact solution until it no longer sticks and is perfect.

wow! what a fast and easy recipe for fluffy slime. The slime is still fluffy after a lot of play. Just a note that the color of the slime was bright until I added in the shaving cream – that really made the color of the final product much lighter. No big deal and easy to fix for the second batch of awesome fluffy slime.
