To make Christmas M&M Cookies you need: flour, brown sugar, sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, Jell-O pudding mix, baking soda, chocolate chips, and red and green M&M’s.

  • Chocolate chips: here, I use semi-sweet chocolate chips but you can use milk chocolate or dark chocolate if you have them.
  • Christmas M&M’s: those red and green M&M’s make this cookie extra festive and fun! But of course, you can use any color you’d like.
  • Jell-O pudding mix: This is my secret ingredient to make soft-batch cookies. Pick up a box and add it to the batter for best cookies ever!
  • Sugars: the combo of sugar and brown sugar keep these cookies moist and give them the best flavor.

How to Make Christmas M&M Cookies

To start, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a nonstick mat or parchment paper; set aside.

Step 1: mix together the dry ingredients.

Start by whisking together the dry ingredients. This includes the flour, baking soda, salt, and package of vanilla Jell-O pudding mix; set aside.

Step 2: beat together wet ingredients.

Then, in a separate bowl, use a handheld mixer to mix together the sugars and butter until light and fluffy; about 2-3 minutes. Next, beat in the egg and vanilla.

Step 3: combine all ingredients.

Add the dry ingredients into wet and mix until well combined. Lastly, fold in the chocolate chips and M&M’s (save some for topping).

Step 4: scoop and bake.

Use a cookie scoop to roll into evenly-shaped balls and place on baking mat. Press down gently and stick 2-3 M&M’s on top of each cookie. Because these cookie will expand, don’t put them too close together on the baking pan.

Bake at 350 for 11-13 minutes or until golden brown. Because they will not change much in color, be careful not to overcook. Also, the cookies will come out of the oven fluffy, but will settle within a couple of minutes.
